Delay and Sum PA Imaging

The main purpose of our project is to provide a comparison of improved image beamforming techniques using Delay and Sum algorithms variations. It is aimed to successfully apply different algorithms with high resolution, discuss a comparison between the outcomes and determine the improvements in imaging quality and position accuracy. Beginning with a simulation of a software-based source, we will implement our laboratory data into algorithms to compare the reconstructed images resulting from different improved delay and sum techniques using MATLAB and k-Wave. We will work on adapting these algorithms for multi-layered mediums. At the end of the project, an exclusive set of delay and sum algorithms will be delivered discussing the design and performance of these algorithms in detail.
