Photoacoustic Imaging for Skin Cancer Diagnosis
Photoacoustic, which is also known as Optoacoustic, imaging is considered as a complementary diagnostic technique in cases where optical and ultrasound-based imaging systems are inadequate and is an up-to-date subject that has not yet become a clinical tool with technological and commercial potential. Combining the advantages of optical and acoustic imaging, photoacoustic imaging can be considered as a suitable technique for the diagnosis and monitoring of skin cancer melanoma without ionizing effect .
